Several years ago my office was in San Jose. I ate at OJ's every Friday for lunch. It is as delightful as ever, the decor, the negronis, the food and Frank's great service. We drove 60 miles round trip to successfully celebrate my son's birthday.

Ordered a single pork chop with seaonal vegetables. Asked for medium rare on the chop. Was pleased they accomodated. The chop was tender, seasoned to my taste from first bite. Highly recommend. The veggies were fresh and just a bit overcooked for my palate,. I'm an al dente fan. Still exceptional.

The blue cheese dressing on the salad is so good!! Tastes homemade. A few years ago I ordered the lamb chops. They gave me 3 instead of 2!! They were SOOO delicious!! But now I see they've taken them off the menu, even though they were a staple item for so many years. So disappointing! I wish they would bring them back.

Original Joe's is one of my favorite restaurants, ever! The booths, the atmosphere, the FOOD...it's like the nostalgia of my childhood in the NYC of the 1970s and 1980s meets the fresh, delicious cuisine of 21st century California and I am hooked. I'm always looking for excuses to skip cooking and head over to Original Joe's because it feels so much like home.

Original Joe's famous hamburger never disappoints! It hasn't changed in all the years I've been coming here. It brings back the best memories of sitting at the grill counter as a little girl with my dad, watching the chefs cook. So nostalgic, so delicious, and still one of the very best!
